The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. – Proverbs 15:33
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. To fear the LORD is to acknowledge His reverence (Psalm 33:8), to hate evil (Proverbs 8:13) and being obedient to Him (Deuteronomy 17:19).
Humility comes before honor. Jesus showed us how to be humble and let us imitate Jesus’ humility. And because of his humility, He has given the honor by exalting Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name (Philippians 2).
