Gallup Definition:

People exceptionally talented in the Adaptability theme prefer to go with the flow. They tend to be "now" people who take things as they come and discover the future one day at a time.

"I am a here-and-now person."

"I will react with immediacy to the immediate."

"I bring a willingness to follow the lead of change."

"I need present pressures that demand an immediate response."

"I love spontaneity."

"I hate predictability."

"I might have the tendency to be directionless."

Action Items:

If you have Adaptability as your dominant talent, you may consider these action items:

  • Openly use your reassuring demeanor to soothe disgruntled friends, collegues, and customers.

  • During times when the pressure is on, help your collegues find productive ways to relieve the pressure and make progress.

  • Fine-tune your responsiveness.

  • Never apologize for your spontaneity. On the contrary, help others realize how many experiences might be missed if you don't seize the moment now.

  • Look to others for help with people. People with dominant Focus, Strategic or Belief can help you shape your longer-term goals.

Note that these action items only serve as guide.
